Living
Made in Harmony with earth
Each Onggi is handcrafted in Korea using natural clay and glaze.
Because every piece is made by hand, slight variations in color, shape, and size are to be expected. Small marks, glaze flow, and subtle surface variations are natural characteristics of the making process and should not be considered defects.
As a vessel made from natural materials, your Onggi may develop subtle changes over time. These changes are part of its unique character and journey
Please handle your Onggi with care. Strong impacts or sudden temperature changes may cause cracking or breakage.
Keep out of reach of children. If your Onggi becomes damaged or broken, discontinue use immediately. Broken ceramic pieces may be sharp; we recommend wearing gloves when handling or disposing of damaged pieces.
Please follow your local waste and recycling guidelines when disposing of ceramic products, as regulations may vary by region.

Caring for Your Onggi
Part of the Journey
As each Onggi is handcrafted from natural clay, a small amount of fine clay dust may appear during transit.
This is a natural characteristic of the material and not a sign of damage. A gentle rinse before first use is all that's needed.
Before First Use
Gently rinse your Onggi with lukewarm water before first use. Allow it to dry completely before storing matcha or other ingredients.
Gentle Cleaning
Use a soft sponge or cloth for cleaning.
Avoid abrasive cleaners, metal scrubbers, or harsh chemicals.
Rinse thoroughly to remove any remaining soap residue.
Dry Thoroughly
After each use, ensure both the interior and exterior are completely dry.
Do not store while damp or leave in enclosed spaces with trapped moisture.
Storage
Store only when completely dry.
Avoid direct contact with other ceramic pieces that may cause chipping or damage.
For long-term storage, keep in a well-ventilated area.
Understanding Your Onggi
Avoid Sudden Temperature Changes
Do not place a hot Onggi directly into cold water.
Avoid pouring hot water into an Onggi that has just been removed from the refrigerator.
Rapid temperature changes may cause cracking.
Natural Aging
Over time, your Onggi may naturally develop subtle changes in color and surface texture.
These changes are a reflection of the natural materials and handcrafted process, and are not considered defects.
Dry Thoroughly
Let it breathe.
A little patience helps
it last beautifully.
Gentle Care
Handle with care.
Handcrafted Onggi is durable,
But naturally delicate.
Natural Aging
Made to live with you.
Subtle changes in color
and surface are part of its character
